The Gypsy Doula

December 19, 2014

Since I have embarked on this journey of serving familes as a doula, I have met so many fabulous doulas, childbirth educators, midwifes, and providers.  I am so thankful to be such a small part of everyones experience whether it be as labor support or part of a clients birth team.  I have learned so much from everyone.  That being said, it is so hard to move every 2 years and start at the bottom of every search engine (again), reach outside my comfort zone, and reach out to new doulas, mentors, and providers.  The purpose of this blog post is to just say how fortunate I am to be moving back to Charleston South Carolina, where I call home, because that is where my heart has always been.  Not as a doula but as a member of the United States Air Force Active Duty and Reserve, as well as a paramedic for Charleston County EMS.  I know I will be recieved by my dearest friend  and  find some comfort in knowing that her and her family will be waiting for our arrival with wide open arms.  I dream big, and just know that our services in the Charleston area will be life changing....
